Welcome Home Warrior was established in 2007 to serve the veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq. We are a non-profit 501c3 tax exempt organization located in Woodland Park, Colorado. Who We Serve
Welcome Home Warrior is currently producing free family retreats for families of deployed soldiers. We have also presented a free workshop series, Coming Home/Going Forward.These workshops are for veterans and their families, students, therapists, ministers and counselors. For our last four free family retreats, we have served over 63 adults and 113 children.
Social Worker of Year Award
Donna M. Finicle, Founder and Executive Director of Welcome Home Warrior, was recently honored for her work as 2009 Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers, for the Pikes Peak Region. Welcome Home Warrior is directed by Donna M. Finicle, LCSW, BCD Clinical Social Worker. She is President of the Ute Pass Historical Society and a member of Colorado Injured Military Organization. Vice President is John Ferguson, a civil engineer and management consultant, and Vietnam Veteran. Secretary Treasurer is Mary V. Williams, MBA,and small business owner.
